Silverstone driving experiences work like any other driving experience, the only difference being you get to drive at the most prestigious venue in the UK.

The main circuit at Silverstone is broken down into many smaller circuits and sections, each one providing a unique driving experience. Whichever you get to enjoy will vary on the activity chosen.

Apart from the main tarmac surface used for supercar and racing car driving, there are also various purpose built off road and multi surface rally circuits designed to test both types of vehicle to their maximum capabilities.

When choosing a driving experience at Silverstone, you know you have picked the best venue with the best track to give the best experience. Duration

Drive time varies depending on package chosen and number of allocated laps. Expect to spend longer at the venue to cover various introductions, briefs and certificate presentations (for example a twenty-minute drive can mean you spend up to or over an hour at the venue). Other participants will be present on the day which means you will have to wait your turn for your chance to get behind the wheel or in the passenger seat.

For Silverstone tours expect to spend up to two hours at the venue.

Are spectators welcome

Spectators are welcome at Silverstone, which includes plenty of excellent viewing points and innovative facilities.

Are these experiences weather dependent?

Severe weather conditions such as wind, rain, snow or ice can affect driving activities on rare occasions. If you have any doubt whether your activity will be cancelled, we recommend ringing Silverstone to check on the day. If cancellation occurs, you will be able to rebook over the phone.

Tours will not be dependent on the weather.

Other information

Depending on experience chosen, a full and valid driving licence will need to have been held for minimum twelve months or three years at Silverstone, meaning minimum driver’s age is either eighteen or twenty-one years of age. In either case, your full driving licence must be presented on the day, photocopies will not be accepted.
