“A wonderful experience”

Although the experience itself was fantastic, we were very lucky with the weather on the day. My wife bought a hot air ballooning experience for two for our 25th anniversary, as she knew it was something I had always wanted to try. We booked the event in June, thinking we would not be let down by the weather! Fortunately, it was a beautiful sunny morning with clear blue skies and little or no wind.

It was an early start but it was definitely worth it. After arriving at the launch site, my wife and I helped prepare the balloon by inflated and getting it ready for take-off, then by 7am we up in the air! We drifted over various towns, villages and countryside’s and some truly amazing views! It was so relaxing and peaceful amazing floating over the landscapes with the occasional blasts from the burners being the only noise. Our pilot pointed out various landmarks and was very humorous; overall, it was such a relaxed atmosphere. The instructor took a photo of us both in the basket during the flight that completed a great morning out.

After landing, we helped with packing the balloon away was also good fun. Then came the bonus when we then cracked open a bottle of champagne (which was a nice surprise although my wife did tell me afterwards this costs extra) before jumping back into the Landrover to return to the pickup site.

Both my wife and I thought this was a wonderful experience which we would recommend everyone should try at least once in the lives.
